The other night we had dinner at the local Chinese restaurant, Tray's Garden, which is one of Mya's favorite places to eat. As we pull in the parking lot, she always says, "are we eating at Chinese"? In addition to loving the hot and sour soup, she also likes the fact that the owners have a little girl her age that will sometimes come to the table and "play" with her. The owners also have toys there to keep their kids occupied when they keep them there, so that's always fun as well! Since the little girl doesn't speak English, and Mya gets terribly shy, they pretty much just stand there and look at each other. But anyway, here's a picture I took of Mya eating her hot and sour soup. Of course it's blurry since she won't sit still for 2 seconds to let you get a clear picture. It's funny to watch her eat the soup, she doesn't understand the difference between hot (as in right off the stove) and spicy. Since hot and sour soup is spicy, when she starts eating it, her face will get all flushed, and she starts saying, "whoo, it's hot, I need to blow it some more". She blows the next spoon full, eats it, and this goes on the entire time she's eating the soup. We can't help but laugh every time we watch her eat it.
Have a great day!
TTFN!
