Gulf Shores in June

The pictures above show the oil washed up on the beach.  We arrived in Gulf Shores on Monday, but we didn't see this until Thursday evening.  When we walked to the beach on this evening, you could smell the oil.  The next pictures show the ocean water on this Thursday evening.  The camera didn't capture the color of the water that we were seeing.  The color was a reddish black, it's really hard to explain.

All in all, I'm glad we kept our reservations and went to Gulf Shores.
